Cosmic Panda – New Youtube Appearance

Internet world is now having a sensation by the appearance of Google+ social media and new Video Calling feature from Facebook. And those two social network is competing to show the world who is the best and the most-liked by internet user. But, Youtube didn't want to be left behind, Youtube has done an innovation on their interface.

Youtube released a new interface which is very different from their former. This Youtube interface is labeled with Cosmic Panda, and so many changes done by youtube. Youtube said that with this Cosmic Panda, you will have a brand new experience of accessing youtube. Youtube Cosmic Panda hasn't yet final released, but if you're interested to try, you can visit Cosmic Panda page.

But what you have to know is that Cosmic Panda is a test project of Youtube, this means that Cosmic Panda is currently not to be Youtube permanent interface.

What is YouTube Cosmic Panda? – According to YouTube, it's all of the following :

  • A new experience for watching videos and playlists
  • More page designs and better editing tools to customize your channel
  • Keep watching when moving between videos, playlists, and channels (Chrome only)

To try Youtube Cosmic Panda, you just need to have a menu directly into Cosmic Panda's page. I have tried it myself, and I dare to say that … it's cool enough at the first sight. This new design is giving a new experience to me when I access and watch videos on Youtube.

Google has done so many innovations and changes in 2011, like Social Network site service (Google+) and Google Search appearance changes. Moreover, another Google service, Gmail, is now available with a new appearance that is more attractive and beautiful than older Gmail appearance.

3 steps to change theme on Google Mail :

  • Login into your Gmail email account and click on Settings icon at top right.
  • On the Mail Settings page, click Themes tab to open available theme look option. Check at the end of themes listing for Preview and Preview (dense) themes.

  • Click Preview or Preview (dense) option to see your Gmail inbox in all new look. Both theme options are almost similar with Preview (dense) showing content in more compact format with less vertical spacing.
