Dear Friends, Assalam o Alaikum
Continuing the discussion from my previous mail, I wish to share some more thoughts which might enlighten you to make better decisions in future:
Goodwill-How created
Let's look at what makes a chartered accountant known for. Each and every chartered accountant in Pakistan is born out of "Public Practice". None of them took birth in the incubator.
And if you recall and you will recall a lot many people who are doctors, lawyers, judges and Muftis, why, simple reason is their profession which can be categorized as "Public Practice".
MBAs on the other hand has a different advantage. The "Education Industry" producing MBAs in bulk creates a lot of hue and cry for taking admission. And admission is almost the guarantee that the student will qualify. The criteria for admission is less the merit than the fee they can afford.
*- Organizing worthless seminars, conferences and local events (resulting in personal gains for some only)
*- Attending international events (for the sake of representation)
But for:
*- Focused promotion of ICMAP graduates with the business community of the country
*- Focused promotion of ICMAP practice with the business community of the country
*- Real value addition of members
then the result would have been different.
You must have clearly known by now that the state of affairs of the Institute and the state of goodwill of the members is in the hands of the President and the Council.
And I assure you, if you keep voting:
*- For your friends, favors and benefits
*- For your community, ethnic or linguistic group
*- For people who have no stake left
The only change you can expect is the worsening of the situation.
Think and think again. The future is in your hand. If you want to change your future you will have to change your present thinking.
God bless you.
